Cookies policy
Cookies help keep a basket and checkout working. Optional technologies have different purposes, and you can control your choices without losing the ability to shop.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small item stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. They may remember a basket or preference, keep a session secure, measure site use or support advertising. A session item usually ends with the browsing session; a persistent item has an expiry or remains until removed. Not every visitor receives the same technologies: the enabled services, browser, region and consent state affect this.
Categories and purposes
| Category | Purpose | Your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Basket, checkout, authentication, security and saving consent | Needed to provide the requested store functions |
| Preferences | Optional remembered settings and personalisation | Controlled through the consent preferences where consent is required |
| Analytics | Understanding visits and interactions when enabled | Optional consent in regions requiring it |
| Marketing | Advertising measurement and relevant advertising when enabled | Optional consent in regions requiring it |
Names and lifetimes can change when Shopify updates the platform. Shopify publishes its current cookie list and purposes, including basket, session and consent technologies. That list describes platform technologies, not a claim that every listed cookie is present in your browser. Additional services must respect the applicable consent requirement.
Cookies and browser storage inventory
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| _shopify_essential | Store session, checkout and security | 1 year |
| localization | Cart country selection | 1 year |
| cart_currency | Cart currency continuity | 2 weeks |
| cart | Basket contents, when used | 2 weeks |
| _tracking_consent | Privacy choices for the relevant region | 1 year |
| _shopify_s | Optional Shopify session analytics | 30 minutes, rolling |
| _shopify_y, _shopify_analytics | Optional Shopify analytics | 1 year |
| _shopify_marketing | Optional Shopify marketing | 1 year |
Our 4 October 2026 page-response check observed _shopify_essential, localization and cart_currency. Other rows describe the platform technologies that may apply when you use the basket, save consent or allow optional purposes; they are not a claim that every cookie is set on every visit. Lifetimes are Shopify’s published durations and can change with platform updates.
Requested first-party features also use browser storage: nailmarket-favourites and nailmarket-favourites-products in localStorage remember your saved product IDs and their display details until you remove them or clear site data; nm-catalog-view in sessionStorage remembers the catalogue layout for the tab session. They support the wishlist and view settings rather than advertising. Clearing them removes those saved preferences.
Our current setup uses Shopify’s native privacy banner and Shopify Network Intelligence. No separate app or custom pixels were listed in the store’s Customer events settings when checked on 4 October 2026. We review this inventory when integrations change. The consent banner is enabled for the EU, EEA and United Kingdom. Optional purposes can be refused through the same control used to accept them.
Review or change your choices
Use or the same control in the footer to review consent preferences. In the EU, EEA and United Kingdom, the consent banner lets you reject optional purposes, accept them or choose categories. Changing a choice applies to future optional processing; it does not undo earlier lawful processing.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. This may remove a saved basket or sign you out. Your choice is normally recorded for that browser and device; using a different browser or clearing storage can lead to a new request. Browsing or scrolling alone is not agreement to optional cookies.
External websites and personal data
Following a link to a separate website opens a service with its own cookies and privacy information. This notice applies to NailMarket. To understand personal data, lawful grounds, service providers, retention and your GDPR rights, read our Privacy Policy.
Questions about cookies can be sent to info@belom.eu. This notice is reviewed when relevant store technologies change.
