Professional use

Professional nail products require product knowledge, suitable training and attention to the manufacturer’s instructions. Start with the intended user and the label.

Who is the product intended for?

Check whether the product is marked “for professional use only” or carries a specific user or application restriction. A detailed online tutorial is not proof of training, and buying a product does not change its intended use. If the page and package appear inconsistent, ask us before using it.

A trained professional should understand the complete application system, product handling, hygiene and what to do if an unexpected problem occurs. Beginners should not assume a professional gel system is suitable for unsupervised home use.

Check the complete system

Confirm the recommended lamp and manufacturer curing instructions, the base and top where required, preparation and removal steps. Product chemistry and lamp specifications vary. A generic wattage or cure-time recommendation cannot establish compatibility. Do not use a general guide to override a product warning.

Keep the product instructions and batch details available at the workstation. Avoid uncured gel touching skin and follow the manufacturer’s precautions and applicable workplace practices.

Warnings and suspected reactions

Do not apply a product on visibly irritated or damaged skin. If discomfort or a suspected allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek appropriate medical advice. We do not diagnose nail or skin conditions, and an automated shopping suggestion is not a medical assessment.

Ingredient claims such as “HEMA-free” do not guarantee that sensitisation is impossible. Review the complete ingredient information and warnings rather than selecting a product on one label claim.

Read the professional-only warning

HEMA and Di-HEMA Trimethylhexyl Dicarbamate in nail products are subject to EU professional-use restrictions and allergy-warning requirements. Read both the ingredient list and the warning; a product marked for professionals is not made suitable for an untrained user by buying it online. See Regulation (EU) 2020/1682 and our current ingredient restrictions.

Before you purchase

  • Read the product’s intended use and warning information.
  • Check the system requirements and your training.
  • Select the correct volume, shade and related products.
  • Plan appropriate storage and keep instructions available.

See Quality & product safety and Storage & shelf life. If a catalogue detail is unclear, ask us; for a medical concern, speak to a healthcare professional.
