Colour and finish

Start with the look you need: an opaque colour, a sheer finish or an effect product. Read the description and look at the available product pictures. Lighting, screen settings, application thickness and the underlying material can alter the perceived colour. A product photograph helps comparison but cannot guarantee an identical result on every screen or nail.

Check the exact product name and shade number before ordering. Two similarly named colours may have different finishes or bottle sizes. Use the product label to identify the item when restocking.

Base, colour, top and lamp

Check which preparation, base, colour and top steps the manufacturer requires for that product. Some systems include different finishes or specific removal instructions. Do not assume a product called “base” or “top” works with every other brand.

Use the recommended lamp and curing instructions. A lamp’s wattage alone does not establish compatibility or cure performance. This guide deliberately does not offer one cure time for every gel product. Product-specific instructions are the reference.

Bottle size and intended user

Compare the listed volume and your actual use. A smaller bottle may fit occasional shade demand; a larger one may suit regular use, but opening and storage conditions still matter. Check the durability label and do not buy more than you can store and use appropriately.
